Vehicle Fire Damages Carport, Three Vehicles in Midtown

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Three vehicles were damaged and a carport sustained significant fire damage Tuesday night after a vehicle fire broke out in Midtown Sacramento.

According to reports, the Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 10:30 p.m. to Improv Alley off 25th Street between 25th and 26th streets for a reported vehicle fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found three vehicles burning beneath a carport, with two of the vehicles fully involved in flames.

Engine 4, the first company on scene, initiated an aggressive fire attack and quickly worked to contain the blaze. Fire crews were able to stop the fire from extending into the apartment complex located directly behind the involved vehicles.

PSN observed extensive damage to the carport structure and three vehicles at the scene.

No injuries were reported. PSN observed no visible fire damage to the apartment complex, and no residents appeared to have been displaced by the incident.

Cleanup operations were underway as PSN crews arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
