Breaking: Five Reported Injured in Old Sacramento Stabbing Investigation

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN)— Five men were injured in a stabbing early Saturday morning in Old Sacramento, and three persons of interest have been detained, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Officers responded just after 3 a.m. to the area of Front Street and K Street following reports of an assault involving a weapon, Sacramento Police Department Public Information Officer Allison Smith said.

Responding officers located three adult male victims at the scene, each suffering from at least one stab wound. Sacramento Fire Department personnel treated the victims before they were transported to area hospitals.

Investigators later determined that two additional adult male victims connected to the same incident had independently arrived at an area hospital for treatment. Both had sustained at least one stab wound.

All five victims are currently reported to be in stable condition, according to police.

The Sacramento Police Department said three persons of interest have been detained as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault.

No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released information regarding a possible motive or the events leading up to the stabbing.

The investigation remains active, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.

​Sacramento police are investigating a reported stabbing in Old Sacramento that left at least three people injured early Saturday morning, according to preliminary police radio traffic.

Just after 3 a.m., Sacramento Police Department officers were dispatched Code 3 to Old Sacramento following multiple reports of stabbing victims in the area.

As officers arrived, several were reportedly flagged down at different locations by victims and witnesses, indicating the incident may have involved multiple scenes within the entertainment district.

According to police radio traffic monitored by Public Safety News, two victims—both believed to be in their 20s—were transported by ambulance to area hospitals. Their conditions have not yet been released.

A third victim reportedly left the scene in a private vehicle before officers arrived and was transported to a hospital independently.

Officers on scene immediately began providing medical aid until Sacramento Fire Department personnel and emergency medical crews arrived and assumed patient care.

At this time, no suspect information has been released, and it is unclear what led up to the incident or whether any arrests have been made.
