Resisting Arrest Leads to Heavy Police Response in Midtown Sacramento

​SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN)- Officer Anthony Gamble, Spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department, said officers responded code 3 early Saturday morning after a large disturbance broke out near J and 28th streets in Midtown Sacramento.

According to police, officers initially on-viewed the disturbance just after 1:30 a.m. while working in the area. During the incident, officers attempted to detain a subject who allegedly resisted arrest as a large crowd gathered around the scene, prompting additional officers to respond emergently.

Police said the subject was ultimately detained and arrested without further escalation.

Authorities identified the suspect as 25-year-old Dominic Hickox of Citrus Heights. He was arrested on charges related to resisting arrest.

No injuries were immediately reported during the incident.
