ROSEVILLE, Calif. (PSN) — SWAT officers are assisting Roseville police as they work to serve an arrest warrant on a man barricaded inside an apartment on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard, according to the Roseville Police Department.

Officers responded around 11 a.m. Friday to a reported disturbance at 1098 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. involving a man in his 50s who was screaming and threatening to blow up management, police said.

The man had barricaded himself inside his apartment when officers arrived and threw objects, including cans, at them, according to police. Patrol officers and crisis negotiators began trying to persuade him to come out.

The man’s adult son was inside the apartment but was able to leave. Police said they believe the man is now alone inside.

Police said no weapons were visible in the man’s possession during the initial disturbance. In a later update, the department said it had obtained an arrest warrant and that SWAT officers were assisting in serving it.

The incident remains active. PSN will provide updates as additional information becomes available.
