FAIR OAKS, Calif. (PSN)— Authorities are investigating a shooting reported early Saturday afternoon in the Sacramento County community of Fair Oaks, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the 8800 block of North Winding Way after receiving a report that an adult male had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies located a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
A second adult male was detained at the scene. Officials said it is not yet clear what role, if any, he may have had in the shooting.
The investigation remains active, and no additional details were immediately available.
