SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. (PSN) — A 41-year-old man was arrested after a roughly 40-minute standoff following allegations that he assaulted his wife and threatened to shoot her, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies identified the suspect as Wang Yu Yang.

The Sheriff’s Office said Yang struck his wife multiple times during an afternoon argument, then retrieved a handgun, pressed it against the back of her neck and threatened to shoot her. He also struck her in the forehead, according to the agency.
His wife fled the residence with their children and contacted law enforcement, deputies said.
Central Division deputies responded that night, established a perimeter and tried to contact Yang. He refused to come outside despite repeated announcements and telephone calls, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies requested additional resources, including an armored vehicle, a K-9 unit and drones. Yang came out after approximately 40 minutes and was taken into custody without further incident, the agency said.
A search of the residence uncovered four loaded firearms: the handgun allegedly used in the threat, two rifles and a semiautomatic shotgun, according to deputies. They also reported recovering ammunition and six high-capacity rifle magazines, including one with a 60-round capacity.
Yang was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple felony allegations, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The agency reported that he was being held on $200,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court Friday.
