RAW VIDEO FROM THE SCENE OF THE SHOOTING ON 12th STREET SOUTH OF NORTH B STREET

On Sunday, January 20, 2019, at approximately 6:24 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched to the area of 12th Street and C Street regarding a shooting.

Officers arrived and located a male adult with a gunshot wound. Officers took life-saving measures until relieved by Sacramento Fire Department personnel. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and succumbed to his injuries.

Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. Due to the severity of the incident, Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene to take over the investigation.

Detectives are asking for the community’s help in providing any information regarding this shooting. At this time, a motive for the homicide has not been determined.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
