SEXUAL ASSAULT - SEEKING PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE

At approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday May 30, 2019, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a sexual assault in the 8900 block of Salmon Falls Drive.

Just before 5 p.m., the female victim was walking across a pedestrian bridge over Highway 50 to Salmon Falls Park. The male suspect approached the victim, and physically and sexually assaulted her. The victim suffered significant injuries as a result of the attack.

A witness described the suspect as a black male adult, between 6’0” and 6’3” with a thin build and a one inch “afro style” haircut (see attached sketch). He has two gaps in the top row of his teeth and a scruffy/unshaven face. The suspect was last seen wearing a plain white t-shirt, long dark pants and plaid boxer shorts. He was carrying a black backpack at the time of the assault.
