UPDATE from the Sacramento Police Department- June 8, 2019
On June 7th, 2019, the Sacramento Police Department arrested 28 year old Tijann Hardy in the city of Oakland, for homicide charges related to the June 1st, 2019 homicide that occurred in the 6200 block of Fowler Avenue.

On Saturday, June 1, 2019, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 6200 block of Fowler Avenue regarding a shooting.
Responding officers arrived and located a female adult with a gunshot wound. Officers immediately took lifesaving measures until relieved by Sacramento Fire Department personnel. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have been called to the scene to take over the investigation. At this time, a motive for the shooting us unknown and the investigation remains active.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
