FAIR OAKS, Calif. (PSN)— Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews contained a well-involved residential structure fire early Saturday morning in the 5100 block of Primrose Drive in Fair Oaks, according to reports.
Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 6:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, to reports of a residential structure fire.
Crews arrived to find a home well involved in fire, with flames coming through the roof.
Firefighters launched an aggressive fire attack while simultaneously conducting a primary search of the residence to confirm no one was inside.
The fire was contained with no injuries reported. The residence was being used for storage at the time of the fire.
The fire caused major damage throughout the home.
Metro Fire crews were expected to remain on scene for several hours conducting salvage and overhaul operations to locate and extinguish any hidden fire.
Metro Fire’s Investigation Team is investigating the origin and cause of the fire. The cause remains undetermined.
Sacramento Metro Fire reminds residents that working smoke alarms provide critical early warning during a fire. Smoke alarms should be installed inside every bedroom, outside each sleeping area and on every level of a home. Alarms should be tested monthly and replaced when they reach 10 years old.
