​SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — A vehicle fire inside a storage facility on East Stockton Boulevard extended into multiple storage units Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to the incident at 8051 E. Stockton Blvd., with assistance from the Sacramento Fire Department and the Cosumnes Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived to find a well-involved vehicle fire inside the storage facility that had extended into adjacent units. Crews deployed hose lines and contained the fire to the involved vehicle while checking surrounding units for extension.

Officials said three storage units sustained minor damage. The vehicle owner was on scene at the time and was removing items from the storage units when the fire started. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
