SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — A man was hospitalized in stable condition after a stabbing in the K Street tunnel early Sunday, Sacramento police said.
Just after 12:45 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the downtown tunnel and found an adult male with at least one stab wound, according to Public Information Officer Anthony Gamble. Officers provided emergency medical aid before the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remained in stable condition.
Police detained 21-year-old Laverne Parker of Sacramento at the scene and later arrested him on suspicion of felony assault following an on-scene investigation, Gamble said.
Investigators did not release the victim’s name or city of residence. It was not immediately known whether the victim or Parker had attended a nearby concert prior to the incident. A possible motive and the relationship between the parties, if any, were not disclosed.
The investigation is ongoing.
