THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE TRACY POLICE DEPARTMENT MEDIA RELEASE
Last night at about 7:30 pm, Tracy Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Brannon Dr. Officers arrived locating two victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Both were transported to local area hospitals.
The suspect, Gregory Castles, 36, of Sacramento knocked on the victims doors and started firing at them when they answered. The appears to have been unprovoked however, Castles was an acquaintance of one of the victims.
Castles was located in Sacramento and arrested with the assistance of the Sacramento Police Department. A search warrant at his residence resulted in the recovery of evidence of the shooting to include what is believed to be the firearm used.
Castles was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for attempted homicide.
We would like to thank the Sacramento Police Department for their help in the arrest of Castles.
