Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol, responded to the westbound Madison offramp from westbound Interstate 80, for reports of a vehicle accident.
When crews arrived, they found a vehicle wrapped around a tree and a portion of the vehicle several feet from the car.
Paramedics pronounced the sole occupant of the vehicle deceased on scene.
At the time of this posting, no details were immediately available as to the cause of the accident, nor if speed or alcohol were a factor. We will post updates when/if information becomes available from the California Highway Patrol.
